Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo Just Released a New Song

"The Fight" is a brief, alluring collaboration with Eric Chedeville as Le Knight Club

It’s been two years since the release of Random Access Memories by SPIN 300 Listtoppers Daft Punk, and now one of the members of the world-famous electronic duo — Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo — has restarted his other musical project, Le Knight Club, along with Eric Chedeville. Teaming up to write music for the upcoming French movie Gates of the Sun, Homem-Christo and his partner have just shared the first song from the project.

Entitled simply “The Fight,” the track eschews the producer’s usually brightly polished productions in favor of grimy, street-ready synthesizers and a hazy drum machine (think Gesaffelstein, sans the bells and whistles). That is to say, it’s good. Hear it below, and expect more music from Le Knight Club very soon.
